American diplomats in Iraq depend on Blackwater's services to keep them safe, according to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.Speaking to reporters on September 21, Rice spoke highly of Blackwater and the sacrifices its people have made. Announcing that a full investigation of the September 16 shooting incident would take place, she gave this wonderful endorsement:
"We have needed and received the protection of Blackwater for a number of years now, and they have lost their own people in protecting our people in extremely dangerous circumstances."
