Blackwater fires contractors for minor infractions

Of the 122 individuals Blackwater has fired for misconduct in Iraq, only about 10 to 15 were removed for weapons violations. That's what Erik Prince tells the Waxman committee, citing the committee's own report.

Those "weapons violations" include infractions as minor as having a dirty weapon, possessing an unauthorized firearm, or modifying their weapons with an unauthorized scope, Prince says. All Blackwater weapons for the diplomatic security contract in Iraq are issued by the State Department.
